Well when I got this car it had no front right fender or nose stuff. It came with all the parts to put back together so the plan was to get this back on the road to have fun with while I really concentrated on my vette project. Well we stripped the rest of the car because there was no way to match the paint and make it look right so we were just gonna scuff up the paint and spray the whole thing(I know..but like I said..not my main project). After closely looking at the existing paint we figured out it was a loosing battle. There were cracks in it and bubbles that were popin. Since a paint job will only look as good as its base neither my painter or I wanted to throw good over bad..since it wouldn't last long and would look like crap again. Well now we are gonna send it to be media blasted to get to metal and bring it back. The good thing is I will be able to go with a color I want now(the one on it wasn't my favorite)...the bad part is that it will be more money/work than I had planned on but hey..part of it right. I'm fighting now going too deep in the car but if I do I will never get to the car that I started all this with..my 76 Corvette. Anyhow..that is where I'm at. Here is where the car is at.

This is how I got it

These are the rims that will more than likely go on it. The car is about 2-3 inches lower in the front and I got rid of those 6" shackes on the rear so its also down about 3"

And here is as it sits now..ready to go out to get blasted.

Also...didnt find any suprises as I striped it...car looks as solid as we thougt it was. We will find out more when the paint comes off..we may have one bondo place on the pass. door but doesn't look bad. Sorry for the long post..I'm just bored tonight..lol.

Steve, I had those for the vette at first but I think they fit this car very well. We will see how they look with the new paint job...and no bob..Bill will have to find his own.

I went out after this and pulled the rear glass out..I really need to stop.

Bob, they don't stick out. I guess with the car being so high they do kinda look like it. When the car came down they were inside the fender wheels. Not like alot of the cars on here but they are in there. Its a 17x8 rim with 4.5BS just like alot of guys run on their first gens. The tires are bigger than some run so I may be going down one size. We will see how it looks and if I have a turning issue when the car is complete.

Should we start a charity to get Bill H some CL 205's for his Malibu? I don't think he ever got over my swiping SW's 18" ers for $800.
