Anyone going to Indy the first weekend in March for the restoration show?
I will be there with Frank and acouple of our cars, including the goat.
I heard today from Russ Flagle-owner of Indy Cylinder Heads that they have a great swap meet locally there that same weekend. He told me it was a very good swap meet and getting bigger and better every year. Anyone going to the show should check out the swap meet also, I know I will. Who knows, maybe I can BUY something...

I will try and get a link up shortly.

I am just a information servant, passing along all the wealth of knowledge I gain every day.
Actually now I can have something to do rather than Babysit the goat all weekend at the show.
Head Commissioner position up for election now, but I am happy with my current position, not enough time for a full fledge gig.

Russ is one hell of a guy, and I will do all I can to promote his company including an installation of one of their motors into a certain Charger I know about.:yup:

I'd love to go, but it looks like you need all of the appropriate info like SEMA. I'm less than an hour away from Indy. I actually got something in the mail at my home about it, but when I checked out the requirements for registration, I threw it away.

Have Fun!

you can act like you're an employee of Frank's...if you would stoop that low to get into a show...lol

Company ID:
copy of business license
copy of vendors permit
copy of resale license

Employee ID:
business card - no problem
copy of W-2 form - problem :(
copy of paycheck stub - problem :(

Seems like a lot of work for someone just to get me in. Thanks for the offer on Frank's behalf though Bob.

I was trying to think of some way that my employer could be a valid registrant, but we're a steel service center, so I doubt it! I'll just leave it to the real players in the game.

Since I've only met most of the people on the site once (at RTH2) it would be nice to meet up with some of you again. Where's the "after party"? J/K

Later,

Brandon

We could go old-school drive-in movie style and hide in the trunk.

I've always heard stories about sneaking into the drive-in, but they were all gone before I was onld enough to give it a try.

Frank is leaving Orlando in the morning heading this way, then Wednesday we will be caravaning to the show. I, like many of you recieved an Email from Peggy at AirRide about them being there too, doing an install on a car. Looks like this is going to be a pretty good show, so again, any of you close to Indy should try to make it down. I will see everyone there.

We made it here fine yesterday and got the cars in place this afternoon. While it is a much smaller show than SEMA, it is much easier to talk to the right people at the booths. I wandered around a good bit today and talked to several venders that I have been needing to talk to. I when to two sessions on Air Ride suspensions and really learned a lot. They answered some of the questions I have always had but were scared to ask because I thought they would be stupid.
Melinda and I will get some pictures tommorrow and I will report back tommorrow night. I am also going to a Mopar swap Meet that is supposed to be a good one.

Musclerides offical report on the Show.

Melinda and I arrived In Indy on Wednesday and got the GTO into the building. Thursday was move in day and seminar day. I attended both Air Ride seminars and must say I learned alot about the nuts and bolts of their systems. Thursday was also a great day to walk around and talk with some of the venders without a lot of other folks vieing for their time. I got time with Mike at American Autowire, Larry at Evod, Stacy and crew at DSE, Mark with Street and Performance ( ended up getting a motor deal done with Mark on Saturday). Art and Craig with Morrison, of course, all the guys with AirRide, Carter was at the House of Color booth. There were others, but you get the picture, just so many people to see and talk with. Friday morning the AirRide guys installed a system on their new "Shop Truck", a 71 Chevy with a 6 cylinder. Bret said the goal of this build is to show that you can get more for your money as far as being competitive with suspension improvements than with more HP. I do think, as usual, they will prove that point this year on the autocrosses across the region. It should be fun to watch the six banger whipping up on some high hp trucks and cars.
Later in the day, Melinda and I rode over to the Indy Speedway and toured the Hall of Fame there. We had planned a track tour, but the track was still covered with snow from the storm they had there a couple weeks ago. Friday was also my birthday so we dined in style that evening in the rovolving dinner on top of the Hyatt. Saturday morning I got up and drove over to the Fairgrounds to attend the Mopar Swap meet. It is a annual thing and I was impressed with the volume of venders and parts. Sadly, the only thing I left with was a new helmet, but that will work out good next race I attend.
At 4pm sharp, we were able to get the cars out of the building and I was loaded and on the road by 4:30. We arrived at home at 10:30 so good time. I was planning to attend the last autocross this morning at 411, but woke up to snow, so unless it clears up very soon, I fear that will be a wash.
