RTMC – Run To Music C...

2011 will be the first time we have held an event at the new Nashville Speedway. The track is located just east of Nashville in Lebanon, Tn. It has enough area to have the Speed/Stop challenge, Road course and Autocross all at the same time. The local SCCA and Porsche clubs rent it regularly. MotorState Challenge

This will be the third annual Motorstate Challenge. It is put on annually by the fine folks at Motorstate, and it is fashioned after the RTTHs event. New Jersey Motorsports Park is fairly new. Now the northeast guys have a track that is regularly rented by SCCA, Corvette clubs and other locals. About Us

This site has been set up for the sole purpose of covering protouring events and other car events I find interesting and fun. Don’t expect to see lawn chairs or car wax here, but do look for the heros of our hobby to be covered regularly.

Of course there is competition at any form of automotive event – even if it is only implied… our events focus on the fun and minimize the need to win at all cost.

Contingency Program

2010 was the first year for the new Team T/A contingency program. It included BF Goodrich, Detroit Speed and Engineering, Ridetech, Baer Brakes and Vintage Air. At the annual Pro-touring dinner in Las Vegas, we gave away over $21,000 in checks to people that had participated in the different events over the course of the year.

GTO sells

After a long history with my 1965 GTO, many magazine articles, tv appearances, and miles of smiles, I decided to sell it. I just did not drive it enough anymore, and unfortunately, just cannot keep all my projects. While I am sure I will miss it, it was sold to a close friend and I am sure it will be happy in it’s new home in Miami. Retired to sunny Florida, come to think of it, I am a bit jealous…..haha

OK, for those that have asked, I have written the official rules for participating in the racing portion of the events.
Guys, these are pretty simple, but will be enforced. PLEASE, this is a racing event, have your car ready to go when you get there. I don’t have time to hunt down a strap to get your battery secure.
To participate in the racing portion of the events in 2011, you must comply with the following rules.
